- Novel arrived in the town with her little brat and took up residence in the Castle, hired on as a Governess.
- Princess Aliamine, Duchess Eave, Pleb Carrigan, and a strange, eerily silent servant by the name of Osanna were met. Novel found it interesting that she'd not met any of their husbands and agreed to teach Carrigan to read.
- Conversations around her always appearing to turn to marriage, Novel has taken to hiding in her room to work on her lesson plans.
- Teachings for Carrigan began, which ended with Carrigan comparing the Old Tongue with English. Refusing to accept or face the dread such language set in her stomach, Novel has become reluctant for any other teaching opportunities to the Duchess's daughter. A deal was struck, however, and a draft mare should be arriving for Novel in due time.
- Weary of the pomp and stance, Novel snuck out to the main buzz of the commoners; The Tavern. Here, she met the new Captain of the Guard, and has found her work and trail of thought suffering ever since.
- First day of teaching started! Weary and worn, Novel took to the Tavern once more, hoping to get away from it all. Unfortunately, a servant begged to escort her and 'show her the sights', leaving Novel with more frustration. She was able to abandon him outside the Tavern in time to see what appeared to be a silent altercation between Carrigan and Sebastian.
- A chance run in with Sebastian at the Castle Garden left Novel hot, heavy, and bleeding. Fearing for her secrets, she has vowed to remain in her room unless called out for some important reason.

- An altercation with a student earned an angry, threatening letter from a parent, leaving Novel to fret over the loss of her career. Her nightly worries were cut off with the appearance of Sebastian, who would not be deterred from his want of her. Novel led the song and dance with beckoning for harm, which Sebastian was eager to give. Whatever beast he had locked away was released, and Novel was left in a pool of her own blood with a twisted smile on her face and an 'H' carved into her back. She still holds her secrets, at least.
